On the evening of Wednesday, January 24, 2024, the Residence was transformed into a vibrant New Orleans-style party that embraced the essence of Washington Mardi Gras. It was our absolute pleasure to extend a warm welcome to hundreds of dear friends from Louisiana, who joined us for this vibrant gathering. Distinguished guests included: Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Senator John Kennedy, Chairman of Washington Mardi Gras Senator Bill Cassidy, Captain of Washington Mardi Gras and esteemed member of the Congressional French Caucus Congressman Garret Graves, a valued member of the Congressional French Caucus We were also honored to have former Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who reigns as Washington’s Mardi Gras king alongside his queen, Baton Rouge native Camille Morrison. We are delighted to share a collection of cherished moments captured during this extraordinary event.
